The Chalice Well is a Holy Site at the foot of Glastonbury Tor. The water from the well has never failed, even in time of drought. The Chalice Well symbol comes from the well cover designed by Bligh Bond, presented as a gift in 1912. The symbol is of a Vesica Piscis, the divine feminine, bisected by a lance, perhaps as a tribute to Excalibur, the sword of King Arthur with whom the Chalice Well has many mythological connections.
